MOJACAR PUEBLO

AKA Mojacar Town

The town of Mojacar clings to a rocky hillside like a gargoyle watching over the Mediterranean Sea. Mojacar is a place that begs to be explored by foot. Park the car below the town and wander upwards. You will encounter incredible views across the hills to the sea. Follow the road which snakes its way toward the town or climb the stairs which also lead upward, (or new lift) depositing you into the residential heart of the village.

perfect for a sunset tipple (Try La Pita for the best view) then night shopping, wander the night stalls and shops for presents for the family, great leather goods, pottery, and jewellery. For dinner, scroll across to see our top 3 restaurants.

CABO DE GATA

CABO DE GATA

The national park status of Cabo de Gata-Nijar has preserved the bleak beauty of a huge area, stretching from Cabo de Gata, the south-east tip of Spain, up to Agua Amarga.

Pack a day bag and drive from Mojacar down the coast to San Jose, there you will find the secret Mónsul beach. If you have seen Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, you might recognise it, as it features prominently in a scene near the end. If you spend the best part of the day at Agua Amarga for a chilled out sea front lunch and swim.

LAS NEGRAS

We also adore Las Negras a secret hideaway with a windmill, a chilled Boho vibe and a big stone beach with crystal waters. Boat trips, paddle boarding and kayaking thoruhgout summer.

For a gorgeous lunch from the balcony above have some clams and seafood at La Sal.

Isleta del Moro
